SEN Teaching Assistants
Salary: Grade 1C Scale 8 - 9 (Actual Salary dependent upon hours and experience)
Hours: Full and Part Time Hours will be considered
Working Pattern: Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Linden Lodge School is a day and weekly residential special school for visually impaired children and young adults (2 - 19 yrs) many of whom are multi disabled with complex needs. At our recent Ofsted (February 2017), our school was judged to be a good school with an outstanding Early Years provision.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to support the learning and development of our pupils who have visual impairment together with physical and communication difficulties. This role involves support in the classroom and includes physical work and personal care of pupils including for some medical interventions.
You do not need to have previous experience as full training will be provided from our experienced team.
We are a happy continually developing special school for pupils 2-19years. We need staff with a caring responsible attitude, high expectations and the ability to work in a team.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are able to fulfil the following roles:
Teaching Assistant for pupils with complex medical needs and PMLD: This role includes supporting learning and developments programmes and personal care (Primary and Secondary).
Teaching Assistant – Early Years: This role includes supporting learning and developments programmes and personal care
Teaching Assistant – Secondary VI/Curriculum Support: This role includes supporting secondary aged visually impaired pupils to access the curriculum
Teaching Assistant – Braille and Vision Impairment: This role includes enabling Visually Impaired pupils to access the curriculum (Primary and Secondary)
Teaching Assistant – ASD: This role involves supporting pupils with ASD
Learning Mentor – This role involves supporting pupils through positive behaviour support.
