Do you have the passion and skills to be part of our growing school team, creating an inspiring and dynamic curriculum for our children?

This is an exciting opportunity for teachers to be part of something incredibly special.  We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative teacher, to work in our classes in this inspirational and innovative school.

The primary phase of Wren Academy opened in September 2015 with the first two Early Years Foundation Stage classes in our brand new building.  This year, those children will progress into Year 3.  Through the addition of a cohort of children each year, we will grow into a two-form entry primary school, joining our successful and outstanding secondary phase. The position available could be for any year group, depending on experience, from Reception to Year 3.

Located in the London Borough of Barnet, Wren Academy is sponsored by the Church of England and Berkhamsted School.  Our vision is that Wren will be a primary school of excellence where every child is both challenged and inspired.  We believe every child should be entitled to a rich and varied curriculum which focuses on establishing the highest standard of basic skills while nurturing independent learners and thinkers. We have achieved excellent rates of progress in the Early Years, 93% of children passing the phonics screening test and we are one of the most popular schools in the local area with 100% of parents saying they would recommend this school.

We can offer excellent training and career development as our school grows and prepare a detailed plan to support NQTs. All staff are provided with laptops and iPads to use and all PPA time is covered by specialist teachers from the secondary phase of our All Through School.

The successful candidates will:

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Be able to enthuse, inspire and engage children.
  • Plan and deliver exciting lessons.
  • Be dedicated to raising standards for all children.

Benefits of working with us:

  • No break or lunch duties
